There will be no slow summer season for most parishes--Vacation
Bible School programs and summer mission trips are on the calendar
all over the diocese. We’d like to be able to list the VBS programs
in the June issue of Grapevine, as we did last year, and
to have reports on summer mission trips, along with your best
photos, in the August issue of The Net and in the “missions” section
of the website. Please email your VBS information—dates, times,
ages or grade levels offered, name of program and cost, if any—to
episcorat@aol.com by May 15. We’ll need mission trip stories
and pictures no later than than July 15; email to episcorat@aol.com,
or mail to Mary Cox, 525 NE 15 St., Miami, FL 33132.

“Come
Gather at the Table”—This
conference, June 10-12 at St. Luke’s in Atlanta,
GA, is described as a “hands-on experiential conference
for clergy and other church leaders who are looking
to move past recent divisions and get on with the
work of the church”. The conference was designed
in response to those parishes who are still dealing
with the aftermath of General Convention and who
are seeking ways to bring divided factions into a
community of wholeness. However, rather than focusing
directly on the topics of General Convention or advocating
for any particular position, the conference will
focus on building community. For specific information,
contact LeaderResources at 800-941-2218, or go to
the website, www.leaderresources.org.
PowerPoint
Workshops—To help us begin to use some of
the ideas presented at the “E-Church” Conference,

to create visual images for use in worship, education
or fellowship events. Dates and locations are: Jun.

Graduates--

to identify potential young adult leaders and to
encourage their involvement in the church, the National
Church is developing a database with the names of
Episcopal youth who have recently graduated from
high school. Youth Missioner Fr. Terrence Taylor
is requesting that each parish provide the names
of all youth who will graduate from high school this
year, so that this information can be submitted to
the National Church for this purpose. Click
here for a downloadable form for providing this information. Email
information to mary@diosef.org,

Florida, 525 NE 15 St., Miami, FL 33132.
