Diocese Continues to Collect Funds for Haiti

Our diocese continues to collect funds for Haiti. As of mid-May, more than $21,000 had been collected in response to Bishop Leo Frade’s call for an Easter season offering “for the resurrection of Haiti”.

The funds will be sent directly to Bishop Duracin to help the Diocese of Haiti meet some of the urgent needs resulting from the political turmoil there. Because the needs continue, and have been exacerbated by the devastating floods that destroyed villages near the Dominican border on May 22, the appeal for funds has been extended indefinitely.

Checks should be payable to Diocese of Southeast Florida, marked for “Haiti relief”, and mailed to 525 NE 15 St., Miami, FL  33132, or you may click here to donate online. You may also donate through Episcopal Relief and Development or Food for the Poor .
