March 2010

Who hasn't had a fantasy of being a movie star? The Bishop's Spring Conference, Mar. 12-13 at the Duncan Center, will give us all an opportunity to learn how to be "movie stars" for the Gospel, using online video sites like YouTube and other new media tools to share the Good News in our communities. The conference presenters will be Fr. Matthew Moretz, whose "Fr. Matthew Presents" videos are spreading the Good News with creativity and humor to a growing audience on YouTube, and video producer/director Bill Shoma. You'll have a chance to work with other conference participants to develop a script for your own online video on some aspect of the life and teaching of the Episcopal Church. Click here for more information and here for the conference agenda.

The conference cost is $50 for adults; the youth rate is only $10 per person per day-youth are especially invited to participate. Conference registration is available online, and overnight lodging can be reserved directly with the Duncan Center.
